Atlantis Submarines
The Atlantis Submarine adventure off the shores of Waikiki and Honolulu is considered to be one of the premier tour and activity attractions offered on Oahu. The Atlantis Submarine vessels have been operating seven dives a day between the hours of 9am to 3pm for years. These tours are about one-and-a-half hours in length and that includes the time on the submarine itself as well as the time getting to and from it on the transfer boat. Your actual submarine dive will be just under an hour in length and will take you to a depth of one-hundred feet. From your vantage point comfortably seated on-board you will view the ocean depths through large glass viewing ports. Oahu's colorful reefs and marine life will become a part of your world the day you take the tour and you'll truly have a glimpse of a day in the life of the marine life beneath the sea. Your trip below the surface will include the viewing of natural coral formations, concrete "pyramid" structures, Japanese-designed artificial reefs, the remains of two sunken airliners, remains of two shipwrecks, the USS. Navy tanker ship YO-257 and the Korean fishing boat, St. Pedro. Special attention and much scientific research has gone into the layout and construction of some of the artificial reefs that you will be observing. These reefs were originally created in 1989 in co-ordination with the University of Hawaii and to this day researchers from the university monitor these reefs as they conduct their own research. It is remarkable to think that the sand bottom that these reefs were placed upon years ago were virtually uninhabited by marine life and are now teeming with fish of all variety and species.…

Duration: Total tour time is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. Actual underwater tour time is 45 minutes. Shuttle boat ride, from the pier to the submarine plus transfer is 20 minutes each way.
