Tom's Tips - Maui Zip line Tours
Many people have an initial fear about participating in a zip line adventure. This is a normal thing. Once you get past the first line you'll realize that it's not hard at all. Many of our clients have reported that their zip-lining experiences were the highlight of their vacation!
If you're going along with someone you might want to try one of the courses that allows two people to glide down on side-by-side zip lines. You can even race each other if you want. From my experiences you can normally go the fastest is you bring your knees up to your chest so your body is in an aerodynamic "cannonball" position.
The views and photo opportunities you will have from many of the Maui zipline courses are often some of the most beautiful you will find on the island.
If you have a Gopro, or any other sort of camera designed for action sports.... bring it with you.
Zip-line from one Zip Code to another! (well, almost!........ at least from one town to another).Yes that's right. Flyin Hawaiian Zip-line is so long (it is the longest continuous zip-line in the world when you add together the length of the seven zip-lines on the course) that it extends from the district of Waikapu to the area known as Maalaea. The Flyin Hawaiian Zip-line is remarkable in the sense that it extends along much of the length of the east facing slopes of the West Maui Mountains and provides the most beautiful views of the central valley that can be seen from any location. You can view both the north and the south coasts of Maui from Wailuku to Makena from almost any vantage point on the course and this zip line course is tucked so thoroughly into the crevices of the West Maui's that it is totally private and secluded and your small group of "zippers" are the only ones there to witness this incredible spectacle of Maui's rare beauties. This is also the only zip-line course in Hawaii that actually starts at point "A" and tours you along a route to point "B" without touring you in a circle to arrive at your original location.

Paradise Eco Adventures conducts a family friendly evening starting with ziplining that is a great beginner line and can accommodate small children 5 years old and up with a minimum weight of 30 lbs and for mom and dad up to 274 lbs. it is followed by some leisure time on their beautiful green lawn with breathtaking views of the ocean and West Maui Mountains. They offer a variety of eco-friendly farm tours: walking, zipline and sphere-riding.

Piiholo Ranch offers a unique selection of tours on their vast upcountry ranch. They have offered horseback rides for years but something that has only came about recently is their zip-line course. This course is no joke with its longest line stretching out over two thousand feet. Something that makes this course stand out from many of the other zipline courses around the world is the fact that all of the lines go in tandem. It is imposible to have two people ride the same line at the same time safely so the engineers have devised a way of making zip lines that are parallel to each other so the riders can go at the same time and have a "side by side" experience. Pi'iholo Ranch contains some of the best views that can be found anywhere on the island. From this vantage point high p on the hill it is possible to see one panoramic view that extends from the North Shore all the way across the isthmus of the island all the way to the Southern Shore. The comfortable paraglider style harnesses have a pocket in the back that can hold a small camera so if you want to you will be able to capture these views for eternity.

Now the fun really begins. Skyline Eco Adventures was the first to offer zip-line adventures on Maui. Located on the slopes of Haleakala at about the thirty-five hundred feet above sea level, Skyline offers a series of zip-lines that jump over progressively larger gorges and canyons. It's a good thing that the lines progressively step up from smaller to larger lines because once you've already had experience on the first three by the time you get to the fourth jump because you probably wouldn't do it otherwise. It will offer however, perhaps the single most exciting moments you will have on your entire vacation. This tour is fun!

High above the resorts, amidst the verdant valleys of Mount Kahalawai...an incomparable adventure awaits. This land steeped in legend, with panoramic views, plunging cliffs and lush valleys, plays host to a zipline adventure unlike any other. The adventure begins with an exciting off road ride deep into the rugged and beautiful lands above Kaanapali and a two mile hike over uneven terrain. Once there, eight amazing zip lines allow you to soar high above streams and waterfalls as you experience this piece of wild Hawaii. A delicious meal, served at the edge of a one thousand foot overlook provides vistas of disarming beauty. From mountain to sea this inaccessible world, just minutes from Kaanapali, is now within reach.
