PERSONALIZED TRAIL RIDES Ride through eucalyptus forests and sparkling green pastures as the West Maui Mountains rise in the distance. Thompson Ranch and Riding Stables sits 3,700 ft. above the Pacific Ocean on the slopes of Haleakala, the world's largest dormant volcano. They welcome families with children and private rides can be arranged. All rides will include a snack and beverage. Weight Limit: 230 lbs.Wear long pants, sturdy shoes and a jacket. Children ages 5 years and up are at regular price and may ride by themselves. Children ages 2 to 4 may ride double for an extra $30.00. Take Highway 37 through Kula.Turn left at Ching Store and Fong Store and right onto Thompson Road.
