Sunshine Helicopters

Sunshine Helicopter is owned and operated by Ross and Anna Scott. Ross helicopter experience started with his first tour of duty as a gunship pilot in Vietnam. After the war, Ross managed a large aviation company in Alaska with 50 airplanes and 30 helicopters. Sunshine Helicopters now has the benefit of his vast aviation experience and the company operates helicopter tours on Maui, the Big Island and Kauai using both A-Stars and the advanced Whisper Star helicopters.

Sunshine Helicopters is one of the major helicopter services we have here on Maui but they have great flights over on the Big Island as well. They are also one of just two companies to offer what is generally considered to be the very best of the touring helicopters. This is the updated version of the A-Star, which Sunshine Helicopters refers to as the “Whisper Star”. Ross Scott, the owner/operator of the company has had years of experience in aviation starting from his days as a helicopter pilot in Viet Nam and his many years specializing in aircraft in the outback of Alaska. His “black beauties”, which his aircraft have become known as, provide some of the very best tours to be found on the Valley Isle.
