Hawaii Paragliding's tandem instructors offer you the experience of soaring over the slopes of Haleakala. No prior experience is necessary! After a brief course on the basics, you will gear up and then take a few strides and fly away with your instructor. When you are ready you can take the controls and learn to maneuver about the sky, Para-gliders are the slowest flying aircraft in the world, allowing easy lift off grassy, shallow slopes with ease.

Description: Surf the Sky, Paraglide Haleakala and fly like a bird, peaceful and free, over Maui! Tandem instructors offer you the experience of soaring over the slopes of Haleakala. No prior experience necessary! After a brief course on the basics you will gear up and then take a few strides and fly away with your instructor. When you are ready you can take the controls and learn to maneuver about the sky. Paragliders are the slowest flying aircraft in the world, allowing lift off with ease. Pilots try to stay in the air as long as possible on every flight.*
Operates: Daily: 9:00am summer months and 10:00am in the winter months.
Departure Point: From Kahului airport area, take Hwy 37 for 13.5 miles, turn left at Kula "Rice Park" just past mile marker 13, take your first right onto Waipoli Road for 2 miles up to the landing zone. Look for Proflyght signs and windsocks.
Duration: Average Flight Time 5 to 10 minutes. Plan on several hours total.

Capacity: Can accommodate from 2 to 4 flyers at a time

Exclusions: Wear long pants, ankle supportive shoes, windbreakers or sweatshirt, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera and snacks.
*Restrictions: Always call for weather check the day of flight. Must be able to run about 20 feet. Ages 5-60. If over 230 lbs or 60 years of age please contact the office for special consideration. Max weight is 240 lbs.
