Proflyght Hawaii
One of the most unique experiences you could have on your Maui vacation is to go paragliding with the guides of Proflyte Hawaii. There is no experience necessary because all the flights are flown in tandem with the instructor who is in operation of all of the controls. The passenger is harnessed in front of the instructor and all of the rigging leaving them with unobstructed views in all directions. Paragliders have a reputation for being the closest thing there is to simulate flying like a bird. I would have to agree with this because of the lack of motors on the paraglider it is completely quiet. Departure Point: From Kahului airport area, take Hwy 37 for 13.5 miles, turn left at Kula Rice Park just past mile marker 13, take your first right onto Waipoli Road for 2 miles up to the landing zone. Look for Proflyght signs and windsocks.
Operates: Daily: 9:00am summer months and 10:00am in the winter months.
Duration: Average Flight Time 5 to 10 minutes. Plan on several hours total.
