If you're looking to ride a Jet Ski in the waters off of Maui on this vacation you're in luck. Pacific Jet Sport is a Jet Ski rental company that operates off of the Kaanapali coastline. They check in on the beach and then motor you out on a skiff to their floating pier that all of the Jet Skis are docked to. Surrounding the pier is a perimeter of buoys that mark off a four hundred acre section of ocean. You're free to tear it up within this area. Circle high-speed laps around the perimeter, whip figure eights and doughnuts or just cruise around. You're the driver so it's up to you. Description: Enjoy the excitement of jet skiing in the beautiful waters of Kaanapali Beach. Rentals are available by half hour or by the full hour on Honda Aquaxtraxs or the Waverunner XL-700 that can handle riders up to a weight of 400 lbs. So 1 or 2 people are no problem. But a third person is not recommended for beginners (very difficult to get 3 people back on the machine if you fall off).
A red inflatable boat will shuttle passengers from beach to a platform (Jet Ski Island located approx. 2,500 feet from shore) where they will sign rental contracts, be fitted into life vests, and given a full on the water instruction by one of the jet ski instructors before riding time starts. Jet Ski area is over 400 acres of Open Ocean. Any time the jet skis come near the barge they must keep the traffic flowing the same directions. Other than that, they can do whatever they want in the area as along as they keep a safe distance from other water crafts (which is about 300 feet). Jet Ski is not available during whale season December 15 thru May 15th *
Operates: Daily 9:00am to 5:00pm - Not availble during whale season.
Departure Point: South end of Kaanapali Beach at the red umbrella on the beach in front of The Hyatt.
Duration: hour rentals and 1 hour rentals
Equipment: Yamaha Waverunners XL-700 and Honda Aquaxtraxs.
Capacity: One, two or three riders with weight restrictions, maximum of 400 lbs.
Inclusions: Jet Ski and Life Vest

Exclusions: Goggles are available for rent $5.00 a pair. Cold bottled water is available for $1.00. A photographer is located on the platform to take pictures. Personal items can be safely left on the platform, so please do not leave them in your car.
*Restrictions: Drivers must have a valid Drivers License with them and must be 18 years old to operate a machine by themselves. Licensed drivers 16 and 17 years old can operate a machine but must have a parent or guardian come along to sign the liability waiver. Non-licensed individuals between 15 and 18 years of age can drive with an adult on the back. Younger persons at least 42' tall can ride as a passenger on the Jet Ski with someone who is at least 18 years old. A valid drivers license and credit card for security deposit are required to take out a Jet Ski.
