Description: Meet your tour guides at Starbucks Coffee in the Maui Market Place in Kahului at 7:00am. Your adventure begins with a van tour to the Summit of Haleakala with a history of Haleakala, its geology and an explanation of rare plants and animals only found on Maui. Upon arrival at the House of the Sun Visitor Center, you will be escorted by your mountain guides, to the rim of the crater and view into the world's largest dormant volcano. Your tour then proceeds to the 6,500 foot level of Haleakala where you are expertly fitted to your bicycle, receive a comprehensive safety briefing and begin your 28 mile bike ride down the slopes of Haleakala at your own comfortable pace. Your journey proceeds through Haleakala Ranch and the upcountry community of Kula. Stop, if you'd like, at Sunrise Market Protea and Flower Farm for a no-host lunch break. Following lunch and tour of the flower farm you will continue your bike ride through the upcountry communities of Pukalani and Makawao, coasting through Sugar Cane and Pineapple Fields and continuing down to the Pacific Ocean ending at Paia Beach Park. Transportation is provided from Paia back to Starbucks Coffee in Kahului beginning at 1:00pm. Shuttle van will depart starting 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30 and 3:00pm. *

Equipment: Columbia Sportswear Windbreaker Pants and Jacket, Gloves, Helmet and State of the Art Volcano Chrome Cruiser Bikes.

Inclusions: Includes transportation to the summit and return to Starbucks Coffee.
Menu:
Exclusions: Riders need to dress warmly in layers with close-toed shoes, advised to drink water before trip and bring sunglasses and a camera. NOT be affected by high altitudes, tour is Weather permitting.
*Restrictions: Must be at least 4'10' tall and at least 12 years old and weigh no more than 280 lbs. Please, no Beginners or Pregnant Women or those affected by high altitudes.
1. Must View a 5 to 10 minute safety Video
2. Be able to mount, dismount and completely control a bike downhill.
3. Must Read and Sign our Downhill Bike Tour Acknowledgement of Risk Form. This activity entails risks of injury, death, illness, disease or damage to property.
4. It is advised drinking water before ascending Haleakala Crater.
5. Inform your Mountain Riders Crew if you are taking any medications or drugs that may alter your ability to ride a bike downhill.
6. Must not be affected by high altitude.
7. Biking is NOT without risk and Mountain Riders reserves the right to refuse or may terminate at any time the participation of any person whom it believes is either unable or unwilling to satisfy the qualifications of participating in the Mountain Rider Bicycle Tour.
