Mountain Riders is also one of the larger bike tour companies that offers bike tours down Haleakala. Mountain Riders has been operative since the late 1980’s and serves up an impressive variety of bike tour options.

Includes state of the art Volcano Chrome Cruiser Bicycles, Helmets, Columbia Sportswear Windbreakers and Pants, Gloves. There is a $29.00 per person charge on tours going into Haleakala National Park.

RESTRICTIONS: Height Requirement is 4'10". Riders must be at least 12 years old, no beginners or pregnant women please.

SUNRISE TOUR - begins with hotel pick-up and a van tour to the Summit of Haleakala. Certified tour guides provide you with a history of Haleakala, its geology and an explanation of rare plants and animals only found on Maui.Upon arrival at the summit you will be escorted by your mountain guides to the rim of the crater where you will view the spectacular sunrise. Following sunrise you will be served a Continental Breakfast (Hot Coffee, Juice and Pastries) followed by an informative tour of Haleakala National Park. Your tour then proceeds to the 6,500 foot level of Haleakala where you will receive a comprehensive safety briefing and begin your 28 mile bike ride down the slopes of Haleakala - the world's largest dormant volcano. Your journey proceeds through Haleakla Ranch, the upcountry communities of Kula and Pukalani stopping in the town of Makawao for a No-host sit down breakfast stop. Following brekfast and a walking tour of this unique upcountry historic town you will continue your bike ride through Sugar Cane and Pineapple Fields, continuing down to the Pacific Ocean and ending at Paia Beach Park.

Your journey proceds through Haleakala Ranch and the upcountry community of Kula stopping at Sunrise Market Protea and Flower Farm for a No-Host sit down lunch stop. Following lunch and tour of the flower farm you will continue your bike ride through the upcountry communities of Pukalani and Makawao, coasting through Sugar Cane and Pineapple Fields and continuing down to the Pacific Ocean ending at Paia Beach Park.

28 MILE SELF-GUIDED BIKE RIDE WITH HALEAKALA NATIONAL PARK VAN TOUR - includes a van tour of the National Park along with 28 miles of biking at your own comfortable pace. Following your tour of the House of the Sun Visitors Center you will bike from the 6,500 foot elevation and end at Paia Beach Park. Clients meet tour guides at Starbucks Coffee in the Maui Market Place in Kahului at 7:45am.
Includes ransportation to the summit, no host lunch stop at Sunrise Market and Protea Farm, Helmet, Columbia Sportswear Pants and Jacket, Gloves and Backpacks are provided.
NOTE: Transportation is provided from Paia back to Starbucks Coffee in Kahului beginning at 1:00pm. Shuttle van will depart starting 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30 and 3:00pm.
