Maui Stables is the only horseback ride we have in the beautiful Kipahulu District of Maui. This area is well known for its lovely views of the Hana coastline and its gorgeous green valleys. There will be a strong emphasis on Hawaiian history and Hawaiian culture throughout this tour. Please be aware that the Maui Stables are about a three-hour drive from the West and South side hotels and condos. If you’re not staying in Hana will be important to plan your day out well in order to work one of these tours into your schedule.…

Morning Ride - Maui Stables

Departure Point: Maui Stables located in Kipahulu on Hana Hwy between Mile Marker 40 and 41- Do not go through Kula - Hwy 37 is Closed.
Duration: 3 hours
Equipment: Beautifully kept horses for all levels of riding experience.
Capacity: 8 riders per group
Inclusions: N/A
Menu: N/A
Exclusions: Coming from Kihei or Kaanapali areas you should depart by 6:30am. This is a 3 hour drive to get to the stables.
*Restrictions: Riders under 10 years of age are by ranch approval. There is a 250 lb weight limit. Please wear long pants and close toed shoes, sunscreen. Swimwear and change of clothes for a dip in the pools after the ride is recommended.

As promised here is my assessment of the Kapalua Kai sunset sail cruise. It was wonderful. Although we had a misty rainy afternoon at times, the intent of the cruise was met. They tacked back and forth until the sun went down and stopped when we saw whales and dolphins. Additionally, the crew of the Kapalua Kai was very responsive to needs of their passengers, plus made us all feel safe and well taken care of. In the times when there was no mist and rain, they were asking patrons if they needed their picture taken, they distributed drinks as ordered by the patrons, and they were all quite personable.

Good cruise - plus we had an unbelievable view from the ocean of a detailed rainbow shown against the background of the West Maui Mountains and the hotels along Kaanapali beach.

It was a sad day yesterday knowing that we would wake up to another environment, but,

Again, thank you for your professionalism in helping all of us with our activity needs. If you were not there, Steve, when we wanted to make a booking, all of the other sales people at Tom Barefoot's were just as cordial and courteous as you. And as in the past, now 7 years, we will continue to use you when we come out there. July 2004 looks like the next time we will be there. Hopefully, after one our vacations, we will just stay and not come back to the mainland. That would be nice.
