Makena Coast Dive Charters is a small but exciting Maui dive company that operates scuba diving tours to Molokini and the Makena Coast. The owners of Makena Coast Charters, Steve and Eve Hogan, are a colorful couple and very people oriented. Steve, the company founder, is also a captain, dive instructor and award winning cinematographer. Eve is an author with two stories in the Chicken Soup for the Ocean Lovers Soul. Aside from their dive tours, Makena Coast Divers also offers underwater videography and weddings at sea.

Intro Scuba Diving - Makena Coast Charters Diving

Description: The Introductory Diver Package includes a pool dive prior to coming on the boat. The pool dive and instruction takes place at the beautiful Grand Wailea Scuba Pool at 10:00am. The price of the pool class is included and we will arrange it for you.
Certified divers and snorkelers are also welcome on this two-hour, one-tank trip designed for a shallow dive. This slower paced, shallow dive is excellent for Introductory Divers, refresher divers, photographers and videographers. This is also a great dive for certified divers as a third tank of the day, or as a first dive of your vacation for "getting your feet wet" before doing a deeper dive on the morning trip.
Experience one of Maui's beautiful south shore locations where the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles live—Turtle Town, Makena Landing, Wailea Point, Pu'u Olai, La Perouse or Olowalu—weather dependent. *
Operates: Daily, 12:00pm to 2:00pm
Departure Point: Intro Divers go to the Grand Wailea Scuba Pool for Pool Lesson then meet at the Kihei Boat Ramp for dive trip.

Capacity: Can accommodate 13 divers led in small groups of 6 or 7 and up to 21 snorkelers.
Inclusions: Tanks and weights are always included. No charge for the use of masks and fins, however we always recommend you bring your own if you are comfortable with them

Exclusions: Equipment Rental for Certified Divers is $15.00 for BC, Regulator and Wetsuit. All equipment is included in the Intro Dive Package.

There is a 48 Hour Cancellation Policy - Introductory Divers MUST be in good health with NO MEDICAL PROBLEMS, you can not be on ANY prescription medications (other than birth control) unless you have a doctor's note, you can not have asthma or any respiratory or heart issues and you can not be pregnant. It is MANDATORY that the diver be a comfortable swimmer and preferably a snorkeler. Introductory divers also must be fluent in English.

Description: This is a combination of the Morning and Afternoon Charters - Certified Two-Tank Molokini and Makena Coast Dive Charter, a third dive is available by joining the second charter at 11:45am. This offers an excellent opportunity for certified divers to do two dives with other certified divers on the morning trip and then have their family and friends join them on the second charter as introductory divers (or snorkelers) for one more shallow dive with turtles. Makena Coast Charters - Steve Hogan, the owner and operator of Makena Coast Charters, runs a small and fun dive operation out of Maui’s Kihei Boat Ramp. His dive boat a 35’ Force Marine Boat is spacious and he can accommodate up to 13 divers on his boat, but does individual dives with a maximum of only 7 divers. Steve is an underwater Digital Cinematographer with over 20 years of diving experience and is well known in the industry for underwater weddings aboard the Makena Kai.
