This is the newest addition to Maui's great list of golf courses. Located in central Maui near Kahului it is exquisitely carved out of the sand dunes that centuries ago were the predominant feature of our central valley. This course can be difficult (especially because of the crosswinds that are generally very strong in the afternoon) and is characterized by an Irish links land design. The course is secluded in a Hawaiian kiawe forest and has many changes in elevation, rolling fairways

ELLEAIR, is French for "Spirit of the Wind." Elleair Maui Golf Club was designed by Canadian Bill Newis. It is an 18 hole, par 71 layout, open to the public. It combines fairness with challenge and is suitable for any player or skill-level. The course is continually being improved to make it even more golfer-friendly, with the widening of fairways, reshaping and enlarging of greens and the installation of new hybrid Bermuda turf grasses. It is the fairest test of golf on Maui, and offers exceptional views of the Pacific, Auau channel, Mt. Haleakala, Molokini, and the West Maui mountains. The Pro Shop features a full-line of clothing and accessories.

Expeditions is the name of the ferry service we have on Maui that takes us to and from the island of Lanai. This service is quite popular and the 50 minute or so trip does five round-trips per day between Lahaina Harbor and Manele Harbor. This has proven to be a great way for visitors from Maui to take-in a day on Lanai without having to deal with air travel. The same could be said for those staying in hotels on Lanai to visit Maui. Lanai has two very beautiful and upscale resorts and two well tended and challenging golf courses. Many people travel over in the morning to play a round of golf, then have lunch and a cocktail at one of the luxurious hotels and return to Maui in the afternoon
