Erik Stein's company, Extended Horizons operates out of the West side of Maui. They specialize in dives of West Maui, Molokai and Lanai dives. Most of the dives that they do are in the Lanai area. Extended Horizons is a first class dive operation that has been in operation for over twenty-five years. Erik prides his company in being the industry leader in dives to Lanai and his list of dive site options is seemingly endless. This is not the only area in which Extended Horizons has taken the lead however; they were also the first boat in Lahaina to run on bio-diesel fuels. Quality has always been the guiding light for Erik and he still restricts his tours to just two small groups a day for comfort and excellence. His boat the "Extended Horizons II" is a thirty-six foot custom aluminum dive boat that can accommodate up to thirteen divers. It is a wonderful vessel to make the daytime journey to any of Erik’s dive sites. However, perhaps one of the most exciting dives that Erik offers is the night dive. Product: Morning Lanai Trip
Description: Two-tank dive for certified divers and people who snorkel. Daily dive site selection is based on diver's request and weather conditions, over 60 dive sites on Lanai, including Cathedrals. There are numerous dives in the Lanai area that will explore flooded lava tubes and unique coral formations.*
Operates: Daily, 6:45am return about noon.
Departure Point: Mala Wharf in Lahaina
Duration: 5 hours
Equipment: 36' Custom Aluminum Dive Boat - All the dive gear is comfortable, top of the line, quality, newer gear (Oceanic and Mares BCs, Oceanic Regulators equipped with depth/pressure console and an octopus) or you may bring your own. Wetsuits are 5mm or 3mm step in longsleeve shorties. We also provide microprene Hoods for cold divers .
Capacity: 13 divers maximum (broken into 2 or 3 dive groups)
Inclusions: Includes snacks and refreshments.

Product: Carthaginian Afternoon 2 Tank Dive
Description: The newest and West Maui's only wreck dive, the old Carthaginian whaling vessel, which formally sat in Lahaina Harbor. Often time's divers will have the opportunity to see Atlantis Submarine go by while checking out the wreck. Divers love this easy deep dive. Although it is deep, 96' it is technically very easy. Great visibility (usually over 100') and light currents make this dive fun and exciting, a second tank dive goes to a local turtle reef. *

Description: You gotta see this to believe it. More than half the critters in the ocean off Maui are nocturnal. The fish change color and mostly are hiding, while the invertebrates are prowling. You see shells, lobsters, crabs, octopus, nudibranchs, eels hunting and if you are a photographer, night time is when you can get REALLY close to your subject. Once you try night diving you may find day diving too tame! All dives are guided. Sites are Black Rock, Honolua, Airport Beach, Kapalua Bay and Canoe Beach. All gear and lights included.*
