Expeditions - Ferry Service
If you’re thinking about going snorkeling on Lanai on the more inexpensive option there is always the ferry from expeditions. Expeditions ferry service offers daily roundtrip ferry services from Lahaina Harbor, Maui to Manele Harbor, Lanai aboard their spacious fleet of large catamarans and powerboats. Expeditions is not a snorkeling company, but it is possible to walk to the Hulopoe Bay Marine Preserve in less then half an hour from the Manele Harbor. If you bring your own snorkel gear then it is possible to get some good snorkeling in bay. The disadvantage of taking the do-it-yourself approach to snorkeling Lanai is that if there is high surf or Kona (Southern) winds and the snorkeling conditions are less then ideal, you will not be able to easily move to a better spot.
