Kahului Cruise Ships on Maui

(From: $50.00 - To: $230.00)

Often times it is difficult to arrange tours that will fit the time schedule of the Cruises

Information Related to Cruise Ships on Maui (Kahului)
Do Cruise Ships really have your best Interests?

The island of Maui has two harbors for the cruise ships to dock.  The biggest one, and the one that is addressed here, is Kahului Harbor.  The harbor is large enough that the cruise boat can simply pull into port and offload passengers without having to tender the clients back and forth between the boat and shore.  There is so much that Maui has to offer to cruise ship passengers but you must be careful to arrange the specific tours for the days they are available when the boats are at port.  Some tours need to be taken on the first day of your arrival and others need to be taken on the second day.  Although we have many tours that are available to you, please keep in mind that not all tours are available to cruise ship clients because  of time considerations.  Also remember that these tours are oftentimes sold out well in advance on the days that the cruise ships are in port so you would be well advised to make your reservations early!

Bike the Volcano Bike It Maui

The mountain of Haleakala stands over 10,000' high and is the anchor upon which most of Maui is supported. The journey to its top at sunrise has long been one of the spectacular adventures that Maui has to offer. Many people like to combine the spectacle of this Maui sunrise with the excitement of a gravity propelled bicycle ride from the crater summit down to the ocean below. One of the very best companies we have that provides this adventure is Bike It Maui. They have been operating this journey for years and have collected an ever-growing list of appreciative customers over the course of time since their inception. This tour must be done on the second day of your visit on the cruise ship. Bike It Maui will pick you up right at the boat very early in the morning.…(more info)

Fishing Aloha Blue Charters

If you've got "fishing" in your blood, you'll want to try some bottom or sport fishing while you're here on the island. Sport fishing is where you go out in search of the big fish like marlin or mahi-mahi and involves continuous trolling while dragging a line behind. Bottom fishing on the other hand is where you stop the boat and drop lines down to the bottom while the boat is motionless. Over all you will catch more fish while bottom fishing but the most exciting catches will be while you sport fish. The Aloha Blue Charters can accommodate either type of fishing for you but the trolling will have to be on the second day of your arrival and the bottom fishing will have to be on your first day. The trip to the harbor will be about a 15-20 minute ride and will necessitate renting a rent-a-car or taking a taxi.…(more info)

Helicopters Air Maui

Certainly the most exciting way to see the island of Maui is by helicopter. It is estimated that a full 75% of the island can only be seen from the air and one of the best helicopter companies to see the island with is Air Maui. They offer tours that see the whole island, just the West Maui's or their most popular flights which visit the Crater of Haleakala and Hana. Their A-Star Helicopters are considered the "gold standard" of helicopter aircraft in Hawaii and their pilots are among the friendliest you will find. The heliport is no more than a 10 minute taxi or rent-a-car ride from the cruise ship dock. This is a fantastic way to see the island.…(more info)

Horseback Mendes Ranch

Since the mid-eighteen hundreds, horses have played an important role in the evolution of Hawaii. Some of the earliest European immigrants to Hawaii were Portuguese and they brought their equestrian traditions with them. These horse loving people later became known as Hawaii's "paniolo's", or Hawaiian cowboys. One Paniolo ranch is still in existence today on the foothills of the West Maui Mountains not far from where the cruises ships are docked in Kahului. This well known Maui ranch is called the Mendes Ranch and the descendents of the original Mendes family are still here to share their horse loving traditions. You'll need to make arrangements to get to the ranch via a taxi or a rent-a-car.…(more info)

The heavily forested jungle area of Hana is among the most beautiful places to visit in all of Hawaii. The Hana Coastline drive is a fabled journey in the islands and the views including waterfalls, pools and aromatic flower blossoms are simply remarkable. Valley Isle Excursions provides extremely comfortable "stand up inside" vans that allow you to move in and out with great ease. The special oversized chairs and special "see-out" windows make the experience all that more enjoyable. Snorkeling Lani Kai

Another very capable boat we have that will take you to visit the island of Molokini is the Lani Kai. The Lani Kai is a medium sized catamaran that offers a lot of personalization. Aside from taking you to visit and snorkel at Molokini they also will take you to a second location off the coast of Makena on Maui which is where you will see the Maui Green Sea Turtles. This tour must be taken on the second day of your arrival on the cruise boat and you will need to take an approximate 15 - 20 minute taxi ride or rent-a-car to take you from the ship to get to the harbor where you will depart from.…(more info)

Snorkeling Quicksilver

You've probably heard about the small inlet island of Molokini which lies about four miles off Maui's coast from Maalaea Harbor. Molokini is famous as an unusual geologic formation being shaped like a half moon and providing plenty of protection from the ocean waves within the islands crescent. It is also famous for its exceptional visibility which is often between 100 and 150 ft. The boat Quicksilver is one of the very best we have that goes there and you'll be able to snorkel in this beautiful area which is well known for being an underwater marine reserve. Quicksilver is a fast boat that has room up on the top so you can catch some rays or you could protect yourself from the sun on the bottom deck. You'll need to take this tour first thing in the morning after spending the night in port.…(more info)

Zipline Flyin Hawaiian

If you're on a cruise ship coming into port at Kahului Harbor you are in luck because the longest zipline in the state of Hawaii is the closest zipline to Kahului. The ziplines from all of the seven Flyin Hawaiian Ziplines that traverse the mountainside on the West Maui Mountains are spectacular, with perhaps the grandest view of any zipline course in the state. What really sets it apart from the others however is the length of its ziplines which in the case of line number seven is a whopping 3,600 ft.
