America II

The America II was a 1987 America's Cup Challenger. This prestigious yacht was custom designed and built, at the cost of $10 million, for the sole purpose of competing in world-class racing. After completing her transpacific race she was retired from racing to do sailing tours out of Lahaina Harbor on Maui. She offers sailing trips during the summer and sailing/whale-watching trips during the winter. If you’re a fan of sailing or sailboat racing you will enjoy a sail on this world-class sailing racer. The channel off shore of the Lahaina Harbor has fantastic views of the four islands that encircle it. This side of the island is generally protected from the larger seas of the open ocean, which make it an ideal location for a relaxing sail. During the months of December and April this channel is a hotbed for humpback whale activity with roughly a third of all the humpback whales living in the Pacific Ocean traveling through this area during the whale season.…

My first visit to Maui on 10/2007 was FANTASTIC! An all girls trip w/my 2 best friends & sister & boy, what a memorable trip that was! The highlight -snorkelling @ Molokini. Unfortunately, my sister got sick our 2nd day into our vacation & couldn't go, but the 3 of us will NEVER forget how much fun we had! I raved SO much about my snorkelling trip that my sister wants to return to Maui this coming April so she can experience the warm, friendly, funny staff you guys offered.
