Air Maui was the dream of helicopter pilot Steve Egger. Steve was a part owner of a helicopter company on Kauai when hurricane Iniki hit in 1992. The island was demolished and he decided to move to Maui and start again. His dedication to customer service and a sense of "fun" has laid the groundwork for the company culture at Air Maui. At Air Maui the pilots are not just pilots, they are personal guides and the staff that greets you seems like old friends.

Air Maui - Air Maui is one of the wonderful helicopter companies we have here on Maui. Steve Eggar started the company here on Maui in the 90's and has built it from a one helicopter operation to now operating a series of A-Stars. The one thing I can always remember about Steve when I first met him was his affability. His levity was contagious and if you were fortunate to have been on one of his flights in the early days you were caught continuously in a state between awe-struck and hilarious. He really gives a good tour. Nowadays he has other pilots working for him, but Air Maui's tours still remain of the same excellent quality.
