Sunshine Helicopters is unique in the helicopter touring business on Kauai because of its location. Sunshine Helicopters is owned and operated by Ross Scott who has tons of experience in aviation. He flew helicopters during the Viet Nam War as a gunship pilot and later managed a large aviation company in Alaska with fifty airplanes and thirty helicopters. He has a large helicopter tour operation in Hawaii also having locations on Maui and the Big Island. But it is his location at Princeville in Kauai the sets is company apart from the others. Most other companies depart exclusively from Lihue, which he does as well on some flights, but his flights that leave from Princeville provide a value that can't be found in any other. Princeville lies on the outskirts of the famous Na Pali Coastline which is the ultimate and most exciting destination for any helicopter flight of Kauai. Without having to spend time flying the distance to Na Pali that other companies do you end up getting to the "sweet spot" of the tour within minutes. Another added advantage Sunshine Helicopters has over many other companies is that it operates the Whisper Star helicopters which are larger and more spacious than their touring cousins, the FX-Star helicopters.…
