Snuba Tours of Kauai concentrates solely on teach the art of snuba diving on the island of Kauai. Snuba diving is actually a cross between Scuba diving and Snorkeling. You actually stay down below the surface and breathe but you have no tanks on your back. The simple skills you will need to do this will be taught to you by Snuba Tours of Kauai. The tanks, in the case of SNUBA, are attached to a float and always stay on the surface of the water. You will descend below the surface and breathe through a tube which attaches to the tanks above. In this way you will be able to swim at length below the surface as if you were SCUBA diving but not have any tanks attached to your body.…
| Description: This is an hour and a half, (30-40 minutes underwater) on the sunny south shore of Kauai, in the Poipu Area. You begin and end your dive from the sandy shores of Lawai Beach, which is one mile down Lawai Road. An outer reef protects the bay where a variety of colorful fish and diverse marine life make their home, many of which are only found in Hawaiian waters. Every tour is guided by a diving professional that will show you how to use the equipment and remain with you during the dive.*
Departure Point: You meet at the white Snuba van in front of the Lawai Beach Resort, across from the Beach House Restaurant. Shower and bathroom facilities are available on location.
Operates: Monday to Friday at 9:00am, 10:30am, Noon and 1:30pm
