Preston Meyers is the owner, founder and operator of Safari Helicopters on Kauai and on the Big Island. He has been operational in Hawaii since 1987 and provides quality service to his guests. In addition to his touring capabilities his company has been used in the filming of a number of Hollywood movies including: Flight of the Intruder, King of the Jungle, Six Days and Seven Nights and Mighty Joe Young. The accomplishments of this company don't stop there however as Safari Helicopters prides itself in providing service in fire control missions and has flown assignments for the Department of Defense in assisting the military in its efforts to perfect its anti-ballistic missile system. Safari Helicopters has also been the only helicopter company to receive all 10 stars (the highest ever awarded) by the Hawaii Helicopter Operator's Association.

Island Safari 45-50 Minute - Safari Helicopters-Kauai

Equipment: ASTAR 350B2-7 with more leg room, air conditioning
for passenger comfort and multiple video camera system to record actual
tour, two way intercom system for a more personalized tour, stereo music
and a large "picture window" for superior viewing. Recently
installed CD Stereo System and the latest and newest model Bose X Noise
Cancellation Headsets.

lbs there is a charge of an extra seat. For two clients flying together

are allowed, not the camera bags. You will be weighed at check in (if you
weigh more than your given weight, you may get bumped from the flight and

Wildlife Refuge Eco Tour - Safari Helicopters-Kauai

Description: The flight portion is the same as the Island
Safari but upon reaching the Kauai Wildlife Refuge overlooking the Olokele
Canyon the helicopter will land at this most unique and beautiful spot. After
a 40 minute stopover, the flight will continue on its normal air tour around
the island. Your pilot will discuss the Robinson Family history and discuss
their plans to develop the property into a wildlife preserve for native Hawaiian
plants endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. Part of this tours proceeds are going
to the preservation of Kauai Wildlife Refuge. **Kauai Wildlife Refuge is
located on the Robinson Ranch. The owner Keith Robinson is dedicated to the
preservation of Hawaiian Endangered Species Plants. This site over looks
the Olokele Canyon and is totally inaccessible to the public. You will be
able to view the vastness of this particular canyon and the wonders of possible
rainbows and waterfalls in the distance. The canyon is sometimes called the
East Fork of the Waimea Canyon and extends from Waimea to the back west side
of Mt. Waialeale Crater. There are no public roads or overlooks by land to
view this spectacular site. A number of films were produced at this location
such as scenes from Jurassic Park. At the stop over site, there are restrooms
and picnic tables. Refreshments will also be served.*
Operates: Monday-Friday 3:30pm with a 2:45
