Kayak Kauai Hiking

Kayak Kauai Outbound is and adventure company on the island of Kauai in the truest sense of the word. They combine hiking on many of their trips with kayaking and other adventure sports. Hiking is one of the specialties of Kayak Kauai Outbound however and they offer multiple hikes across the island varying in length of hike, time of hike and difficulty of hike. One of the easiest hikes offered by Kayak Kauai is the three hour hike to the Pacific Botanical Tropical Garden of Lawai. Here you will follow a well maintained trail into a beautifully landscaped area which is a restored ancient Hawaiian Taro patch. This rated "moderate" hike will take you the Sleeping Giant of Nounou. This hike takes you to the mountain ridges behind the area of Kapaa and much of your trek will be through huge groves of Norfolk Pines. If you have more of an interest in Kauai's west side you will enjoy another moderate hike into the Waimea Canyon which is fondly referred to as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. This hike truly gives you a chance to enjoy the mountain ridges and valleys of these areas with an added bonus of stopping at hike's end at a fragrant ginger covered waterfall and pool. For those more interested in a more strenuous hiking experience you won't be disappointed in the trek along the Na Pali coastline to the Hanakapiai Valley. This eight mile hike is one of the most famous in all of Hawaii and you'll visit the isolated areas of Kauai that were in ancient Hawaiian times some of the most populated areas of the island. Yet another fairly strenuous hike offered by Kayak Kauai Outbound is the Nu'alolo Awa'awapuhi Loop trail hike which involves six to eight hours of trail time near the area of Koke'e above the Waimea Canyon.…
