If you'd like to take a horseback ride on the sunny south side of Kauai near Poipu Beach, CJM Stables is the perfect choice. This working cattle ranch stretches for miles along the coastline with incredible views of the ocean and reef life from just along the shore. This area of Kauai is often warm and beautiful even when much of the rest of Kauai is covered in clouds and rainfall. The horses you will find here are among the most beautiful in the state and they are often the first choice of movie producers looking for horses to be used in the numerous motion pictures filmed on the island. Just showing up at the stables is an experience in itself as there are usually as many as fifty head of horses in the corrals and surrounding areas and often a number of new born colts and young horses of various ages seen frolicking with their mothers. These rides along the sea cliffs of south Kauai are a treat that many people religiously return to with every visit to the Garden Island.

Experience a variety of scenery and terrain, from pasture ranch land and farm crops to coastal and mountain vistas. After riding about an hour, you dismount to explore and comb a secret beach for potential treasures, take photographs or just enjoy a rest from your saddle. Relax while your trail guide prepares your tasty picnic lunch offering spectacular ocean views. Your tour will be for about 3 hours with 2 hours on horseback and 1 hour on the beach for a tasty lunch and great ocean views.
