Although we didn't actually make it to Hawaii, due to the weather on the mainland-- (flight canceled twice in a row). We were SO pleased that all of our money from Tom's Barefoot Tours was refunded.
It was practically done within 72 hours-- much faster than our flight and hotel and car took to refund us.

My husband and I were in Hawaii Feb 2011 for our 25th anniversary
wow what an amazing place. Thanks to John from Tom's Barefoot Tours for helping set up our activities. The sunset cruise on The Spirit of Lahaina was not what we expected--would not have to do that again. The snorkeling with Aqua Adventures was exceptional--very good personal attention and the sites at Molekini were amazing. For a totaly romantic time--The Feast at Lele was definitly it--cloth tablecovering and a table for two on a great beach setting--arrange the tickets early and get a great front row seat. We ran out of time and only got to see half of Maui--so a return trip will be planned.

Big mahalo to Tom's Barefoot Tours!
Seth took the time to help us choose just the right activity to make our trip to Kaua'i perfect! His suggestion to fly with Wings Over Kaua'i was the best experience we have had on our three week vacation to the islands. We were able to see whales, dolphins and a great views of both Waimea Canyon and Na Pali Coast. The aerial view is really the best way to see ALL of the island (Waimea Cancyon was completely cloudy when we drove up to the lookout). Plus, Tom's barefoot offers prices lower than what is advertised on other websites. When we return we will definitely use Tom's Barefoot Tours again!

O'hu and Jay were excellent tour guides.
Patient, clear and informative with everything they passed onto us during our ride. We cannot extol them highly enough. Polite and cheerful, nothing was too much for them. We did the tour on my 50th and it was a magical and special day...made more so by the two lads guiding us. O'hu made my day as I was the only passenger on the mule that day...he was attentive, funny and game for a laugh. I would like to thank him so much for a very memorable day. He took us trail cutting and asked if I wanted to take it easy, or go for it, through mud puddles. We went for it and got soaked. I have never laughed so much or enjoyed getting muddy that much before. Two very experienced guides. They have a knowledge and passion for their heritage that shone through. I'm hoping we get back to Big Island one day - we'll be back on Ride the Rim without a doubt.

What a great company with great customer service.
We ran into a bit of a problem with our our adventure. It didn't go off as planned. The ATV Adventure would not refund us money that was due but Seth at Tom Barefoot's stepped up and contacted the them. They would not budge but Seth said "not to worry", Tom Barefoot's Tour stand by their customers and THEY refunded us the money. So we know our money is safe with this company, they saved us money on the adventure and they were pleasant to work with.
I can't wait to return and book more adventures with Tom Barefoot's Tour Company!!!

We visited Maui during the second week of August 2010. I found your website very useful and handy, saved me a lot of time during the pre-planning of our trip. Your pricing on the Luau, Helicopter Tour, Surf Lessons, was better than anyone else, and the customer service experience was fantastic and outstanding! If anyone want's to have a great experience in Maui, give Tom a call.

We went snorkeling this summer (July 2010) on the Four Winds II and I was not at all disappointed. To start - the staff is awesome!! They were very personable and friendly. They walked around several times chatting with passangers and bringing beverages between handing out equipment on the way out. Once we got to the snorkel destination they offered everyone a snorkel lesson or you could go off on your own and snorkel to your hearts content. They fired up and BBQ and made a great lunch for everyone. A few of the staff members even hopped onto surf boards and paddled around with a little floating cooler handing out nice cold beverages. One of the people in our party got sick while out in the water snorkeling so she retired to the boat early and staffers continually checked on her to make sure she was ok and bring her beverages. They were very sweet and accomidating! We hung out in the water until every had pretty much had their fill and filed back to the boat on their own for some rest and relaxation in the sun. When we departed the staff members came back around at least twice to make sure everyone had everything they needed...they even did an extra beer run ;) cant beat that! All in all this was the best thing we did on this trip Maui. The staff at the Four Winds II was amazing and made it so easy to have a blast.
I would recommend these guys to everyone!

I can vouch for Ross Scott, I was one of his doorgunners on the gunships he flew in Viet Nam.The Commander was one of the best pilots we had, a true war hero that saved alot of lives! He was our favorite to fly with,he always got all his team back home- every mission, nobody left behind- whether it was on his ship or others on our teams. We took the morning Molokini snorkeling tour and had a great time. Less fish than we expected but still OK. The staff was great and provided everything: food, gear, music and thoughtful safety tips. The Captain told me that 8 out 10 people routinely vomit on these trips so although we were fine, Bromine or a SeaBand wristband might be in order! The restroom facilities could have been cleaner, but all in all, a good time and worth the money.
I would book through Tom Barefoot again!

Lori was a huge help in booking our "Wings over Kauai" flxed wing flight and the Valley Isle Excursion on the Road to Hana in Maui. Both were EXCELLENT tours. in one of our phone conservations but we got married in Maui on a private beach.

The two events you arranged for us which were the sunset dinner Cruz where we were on the the beautifull boat the "Hula Girl" and the snorkel trip "The Four Winds II were fantastic.
The sunset dinner cruz was more than we could ask for. The boat was is one of a kind.
I took pictures both outside and inside. We only had twelve couples that night which made the dinner cruz that much more intimate. As usual the snorkel trip was fantastic.

I would highly recommend "Tom Barefoot Tours" anytime and you in particular. If you need a recommendation it would be a pleasure you highly recommend you and your organization.

She was also very accomodating and replied to my emails promptly throughtout our trip. My first visit to Maui on 10/2007 was FANTASTIC! An all girls trip w/my 2 best friends & sister & boy, what a memorable trip that was! The highlight -snorkelling @ Molokini. Unfortunately, my sister got sick our 2nd day into our vacation & couldn't go, but the 3 of us will NEVER forget how much fun we had! I raved SO much about my snorkelling trip that my sister wants to return to Maui this coming April so she can experience the warm, friendly, funny staff you guys offered. It's a "re-do" of Maui for my sister & I'm tagging along =).
Thanks for a memorable trip & for taking MY fear of swimming in the water, let alone, the Pacific Ocean! Can't wait to go again this April!

Good morning. I have "been gonna" write to you for several weeks now and I haven't done it, so here I am. I can not begin to thank you for all of your help and assistance in setting up all the activities for our family when we came to Maui in June. Everything you set up went smoothly and everyone had such a wonderful time. With 14 of us going it could have been a disaster had things not been handled correctly. We all appreciate everything you did. It was especially nice that I could relax and enjoy myself too because I didn't have to worry about all the reservations not being handled correctly. It was wonderful.
We will definitely pass along your name and company to anyone we hear of that is going to Hawaii. Take care and I wish you all the best.

My most sincere thanks to you and your organization. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip (last week) to Maui. The three packages we purchased through your representative (Billy) were superb! The snorkel trip was outstanding. The ride to Hana was the most informative and enjoyable time and topping it off with the dinner cruise on Friday ended a vacation the way it should be ended.

Hi,
I just want to write and thank you. My friend and I just recently spent a week in Maui and a week in Kauai. We called your place and Dennis set up trips for us on Maui and Kaua'i. He recommended a snorkel trip on each island, the sunrise bike trip on Maui, the kayaking on Kauai, a sunset dinner on Maui and a luau on Kaua'i. Everything that he set up for us was fantastic. We enjoyed everything he set up and was glad that we didn't have to do it ourselves.
I will recommend you to all my friends. Please thank him for us. We had set it up under the name G Petersen. Keep up the great work!!

My family and I just returned from a 2 week trip to Oahu and Maui. Andreas assisted me with all our activities. We enjoyed every aspect of our trip. But most of all I want to point out that Andreas did a great job in booking our activity reservations. Since we were unfamiliar with the hows, what, and whys of traveling to Hawaii we relied on his expertise and if we travel again to Hawaii would not hesitate to give him a call.
We have already told several friends of his helpfulness and professionalism so hopefully you will be getting some phone calls.

I would like to express my thanks for one of your amazing employees, Rose, who has done an incredible amount of work this week for me. I thought planning my trip to Maui would be so easy, and then I went and changed everything and then changed it again! Rose always immediately contacted me through phone and email multiple times to make sure I was being accommodated, and she never had a negative comment.
She gave fantastic, incredibly useful advice about trips, times, and services, and I can't thank her enough for her patience, effort, and cheerful mood. I know that I will definitely use this service again in the future and will recommend it to friends and family thanks to Rose's diligence.
I'm sure the rest of your employees are just as wonderful, but Rose really has been a superb agent to work with, and I know that my trip next week will be stress-free and exciting, and it's all due to with greatest appreciation to this woman.

My wife and I booked some activities with you recently, The Four Winds snorkel trip, Old Lahaina Luau and the Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour, they were all perfect! This message is for Steve -
As promised here is my assessment of the Kapalua Kai sunset sail cruise. It was wonderful. Although we had a misty rainy afternoon at times, the intent of the cruise was met. They tacked back and forth until the sun went down and stopped when we saw whales and dolphins. Additionally, the crew of the Kapalua Kai was very responsive to needs of their passengers, plus made us all feel safe and well taken care of. In the times when there was no mist and rain, they were asking patrons if they needed their picture taken, they distributed drinks as ordered by the patrons, and they were all quite personable.
Good cruise - plus we had an unbelievable view from the ocean of a detailed rainbow shown against the background of the West Maui Mountains and the hotels along Kaanapali beach.
It was a sad day yesterday knowing that we would wake up to another environment, but,
Again, thank you for your professionalism in helping all of us with our activity needs. If you were not there, Steve, when we wanted to make a booking, all of the other sales people at Tom Barefoot's were just as cordial and courteous as you. And as in the past, now 7 years, we will continue to use you when we come out there. July 2004 looks like the next time we will be there. Hopefully, after one our vacations, we will just stay and not come back to the mainland. That would be nice.

Just wanted to say a special mahalo to you. Our trip was amazing and you truly have a gift when it comes to planning!! Snorkeling with Aqua Adventures was great they were so kind and encouraging. My husband and experienced snuba with Todd and he was so patient!! The helicopter ride went very well with Alex Air and our pilot was experienced and confident which was so reassuring for me (this activity my husband chose). The Luau was fun at the Marriot too.
Thank you so much. I'm not kidding I think you need a raise! We were so blessed we had the perfect amount of activity and down time.
