Just like all the other islands in Hawaii, there are major differences between all the various regions and towns. The difference with the Big Island of Hawaii is that the distances between these areas are so great. This provides somewhat of a challenge in simply being able to see it all. A great idea, if you have a limited time is to simply choose one area and be content to visit there without having to feel that you have to do everything. The purpose of the Town and Region Guide is to give you some notion of what you might expect in each of the various areas. Have a great time on the Big Island, there’s a lot to see!
