Let's face it. Just about any activity you could participate in on the water on the Big Island could be considered a water sport. The list would include snorkeling, sailing, parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking, fishing, surfing, paddle boarding, and diving. The list of individual activities we would have on this page however would be ridiculously long so we arbitrarily decided to limit it to just surfing and kayaking. If you have an interest in any of the other water sports not listed on this page just check the list of activities on the Big Island of Hawaii "island" page and we'll get you up to speed.
In the mean time remember that the Big Island is surrounded by water, and that's where the fun is!
Adventures In Paradise Are you somebody who wants to do something very close to nature? One of the best ways to get a first hand perspective on Hawaii's marine life is by taking a kayak trip. Kayaks are small paddle boats that are very maneuverable and can be navigated through very shallow waters. This allows the paddler to be able to access spots that often times are very difficult to access if not impassable for larger, motor driven boats. Adventures in Paradise offers guided trips, or for the do-it-yourselfers they

Sea Wolf Charters on Hawaii Sea Wolf Charters on the Big Island of Hawaii offers short snorkel tours to visit the underwater world and see the marine life. Sea Wolf Charters uses a thirty-three foot rigid hulled inflatable (similar to something you might have seen Jacques Cousteau in but with a hard bottom) to speedily travel to coastal areas for a snorkel in tropical waters. Big Island of Hawaii water sport Tours - One of my favorite activities on the Big Island would be one of the many kayak rides. These are generally found off the Kona Coast and may include dolphin watching, snorkeling, sea cave exploration and even cliff jumping. Marine life is often within an arms length of your kayak and colorful fish and Hawaiian Sea Turtles are almost always a big part of your experience.
