UFO Parasail - Hawaii
UFO Parasail on the Kona Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii offers you the opportunity, thrill and adventure of essentially “flying” along this beautiful coastline. Rides can vary in length of tow rope used to be as little as six-hundred feet to as long as twelve-hundred feet in length. Parasailing on the Big Island is done virtually every week of the year as compared to its counterpart on Maui which closes for the winter during whale season. Flights can be either single or in tandem with a friend and the boats here make use of a winch system in which you are reeled out from a platform on the back of the boat and then reeled back in to a safe landing right back onto the boat. You'll never even get wet, unless you ask the captain for a "dunk and go" on the way down. Not only can you enjoy your parasail adventure with UFO Parasail but you can also bring passengers or observers on board as well to partake in all the fun. These groups are small and personalized as they accommodate a maximum of only six persons per tour.…

Description: Standard or Deluxe Early Bird Special Parasail flight is only available at 8:00AM in the morning - The Standard Parasail Ride goes up to 25 stories above sea level and Singles fly for 7 minutes, Doubles for 9 minutes and Triples for 11 minutes. The Deluxe Parasail Ride goes up to 50 stories above sea level and Singles fly for approximately 10 minutes, Doubles for 12 minutes and Triples for 14 minutes.*
Operates: Daily at 8:00AM ONLY.
Departure Point: At UFO office across from Kailua Pier, 75-5669 Alii Drive
Duration: Parasailors are on the boat for approximately one hour. Ride time is approximately 7 to 14 minutes.
Equipment: Two, Diesel powered parasail winch boats.
Capacity: A maximum of six flyers per trip.

*Restrictions: Cannot accommodate anyone with chronic back or neck problems; anyone who has ever had previous back or neck surgery; or anyone who is pregnant or thinks she may be pregnant. Participants must be able to walk down the dock and board the parasail vessel with minimal or no assistance. The boats are not wheelchair accessible. Minimum Weight is 130lbs depending on wind strength. Tandem flights are available with maximum weight 450 lbs. depending on wind conditions. UFO has an adjustable tandem bar which will allow side by side tandem rides even though the participant's weights are not the same. New larger Parachutes will accommodate up to 3 people at once which will permit parents and children, 6 and up, to parasail together, again with a maximum weight limit of 450lbs. Any participant under 18 must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian at time of check in. Children must be at least 6 years old to parasail. | |
