CUSTOM HORSEBACK RIDING Not a trail ride, all levels catered to. Open range riding on 11,000 acre working cattle ranch on Kohala Mountain. Choices include: Quarter Horses, Arabians, Thoroughbred Crosses and one great riding mule "Nui".

During a brief check in period guests are encouraged to use ranch boots, chaps, jackets and hats to create an authentic "Paniolo" feel. From there it's to the lanai where the guests are introduced to their carefully selected mounts. After a short presentation on rider safety and basic horse handling, the Open Range Ranch Ride begins. Guest are allowed to ride at their experience level and are encouraged, with wrangler guidance, to trot and canter.

DIRECTIONS:

• From Hilo: Hwy 19 to Waimea, at light turn right toward Kawaihae at flashing light go right to Hwy 250 about 12 miles just past the 13 mile marker on left look for red sign and 2 red buildings.
• From Kona/Kohala: Hwy 19 North Junction with Hwy 270 (Kawaihae Jct) turn right on Hwy 19 to Waimea, go up the hill about 7.8 miles. Left at flashing light Hwy 250 about 12 miles look for 13 mile marker and for 2 red buildings on the left.

• 1 1/2 Hours from Kona/Hualalae
• 1 Hour from Kohala Resort/Mauna Lani Resort
• 45 Min. from Hapuna Prince/Mauna Kea/Waimea Bed and Breakfast

MAX. WEIGHT 230 lbs. Must be at least 4' tall, Up to 14 Riders

CITY SLICKER HORSEBACK RIDE - spend an hour in the saddle and enjoy the spectacular scenery this 11,000 acre working cattle ranch has to offer. This is an Open Range ride since you can spread out and are not forced to walk "nose to tail".
