Description: Experience an up-close encounter with the famous Kona Manta Rays. The beautiful Kona Coast is home to more than 125 resident Manta Rays. With distinctive black and white markings, each Manta Ray is named and easily identified nightly. After a scenic sunset boat ride to the Manta location, a friendly staff will instruct you about your encounter. Underwater lights set the stage as these gentle giants glide gracefully through the beams feeding on a buffet of plankton. A water depth of 25 feet allows both snorkelers and certified scuba divers to safely view the action and maybe meet a Manta face-to-face. Up to 16 feet from wing tip to wing tip, Manta Rays have nothing that bite or sting, making this the safest large animal encounter in the world. Mantas "Vinny," "Blaine," "Sugar Ray," "Big Bertha" and their manta friends are looking forward to putting on a show for you! *

Experienced PADI Instructors / Dive Masters will guide you through two dives at two different sites. Request what you are most interested in seeing - marine preserve, turtle cleaning station, lava tubes, wreck, etc. and Manta Divers take you to the finest dive sites and provide a briefing of the marine life you will encounter. Introductory divers, Scuba Tune-Ups, Open Water Certification and Check Out Dives / Referrals (already completed academic and confined water training at home) are all welcome. Description: Come join in an unforgettable 4 hour adventure into the amazing world of the Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins. Your journey begins at the Honokohau Marina where you head up the Coastline in search of one of many pods of year round resident Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins. Travel up the rugged Kona coastline where you can see some of the most beautiful scenery, which can only be viewed by boat. Along your cruise you can expect to see white sandy beaches and crystal clear turquoise water. The Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins are the smallest dolphins in Hawaii, which reach about the size of an adult human and are very predictable in the areas along the coastline where we regularly encounter them. Some days we locate the Dolphins outside a white sandy beach called Makalawena, sometimes in Kiholo Bay or even Ho'ona Bay. Once we have located a pod, you are actually able to enter the water and snorkel and have as many as 300 dolphins all around you.
