Kohala Kayak
Kayak tour are always fun but particularly when you paddle over pristine reefs and crystal clear waters with plenty of fish. This is the case with Kohala Kayaks. Kohala Kayaks offers fun-filled eco-encounters along the South Kohala Coastline featuring double kayaks (sit on top plastic open cockpit kayaks) with all the necessary equipment included (paddles, back rest, paddle leash, life vest, and snorkel gear). You will be given an orientation tour by your certified lifeguard tour guide.
| Description: A fun filled 3 hour guided kayak trip along the South Kohala Coastline. Discover the coral gardens of Puako Reef a marine sanctuary, where Green Sea Turtles feed among multicolored fish. A great family activity with 2 different snorkel spots. Dolphins and Whales: Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins are sometimes viewed in this area. Humpback Whales arrive for a few months in the winter (December to March). We always keep a respectful distance when in their presence. These are species protected by the Marine Mammal Protection Act, which says that we should stay 100 yards away from whales and 50 yards away from dolphins.
