Island Breeze Luau
The Island Breeze King Kamehameha Luau is a great luau for children. It's often less expensive than other luaus making it easier to afford and its central location right in downtown Kailua-Kona makes it very easily accessible. The torch lights in the gentle breezes and the announcement of the sun's evening departure into the blue Pacific by trumpeting conch shells along with the arrival of the Hawaiian Royal Court makes it all that much more special for the children.
Luau - Island Breeze Luau-King KamehaDescription: Many consider this luau a "Royal Hawaiian Experience". This traditional luau is held in the historic and picturesque Kamakahonu Bay and the grounds of Ahu Ena (Kamehameha-the-Great's former estate at Kailua Kona) in the garden area of the hotel. The evening begins with a shell lei greeting, picture taking and a display of Polynesian crafts and demonstrations to learn about island traditions. Torches are lit and the conch shell is blown announcing the arrival of the Hawaiian Royal Court. The Polynesian show will start soon after; a favorite dance of everyone is the dangerous and daring Fire Knife Dance.
