ISLAND BREEZE LUAU - This traditional luau is held on the beachfront of historic and picturesque Kamakahonu Bay and the grounds of Ahu'Ena, Kamehameha the Great's former estate at Kailua-Kona. The evening begins at 5:00pm with a shell lei greeting, picture taking and a display of Polynesian crafts and demonstrations to learn about island traditions. Imu Ceremony.
6:00pm Torches are lit and the conch shell is blown announcing the arrival of the Hawaiian Royal Court
6:30pm Luau dinner buffet
7:15pm the Island Breeze Polynesian show with dances and songs of ancient and modern Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, New Zealand, Fiji and other Pacific Islands. A favorite of everyone is the dangerous and daring Fire Knife dance finale.

The luau dinner features over twenty local dishes including: Appetizers, Fresh Fruit and a variety of Salads, Banana Bread, Poi, Steamed White Rice, Hawaiian Sweet Potato, Lau Lau, Kalua Pig, Kona Broil Chicken Long Rice and Catch of the Day Fish. Desserts: Coconut Cake, Haupia, Coconut Pudding, Kona Coffee, Fruit Punch, Mai Tais and standard bar service
Morning of the luau, guests may view placing of pig in imu at 9:30am at the luau site.
