Are you somebody who wants to do something very close to nature? One of the best ways to get a first hand perspective on Hawaii's marine life is by taking a kayak trip. Kayaks are small paddle boats that are very maneuverable and can be navigated through very shallow waters. This allows the paddler to be able to access spots that often times are very difficult to access if not impassable for larger, motor driven boats. Adventures in Paradise offers guided trips, or for the do-it-yourselfers they have an unguided kayak rental option as well. The coastline of the Big Island drops off to very deep depths almost immediately offshore. This allows the kayaking trips here to do something that is not available on the other Hawaiian Islands. The deep water can be accessed on the same trips that also see the shallow coral reefs along the shore. The deeper water has a whole different cast of larger fish then the shallow shoreline waters and being able to see it all from the perspective of a kayak is something you will never forget!…
| Description: The trip combines snorkeling and the largest coral reef on the Big Island and paddling along beautiful Hawaiian beaches. Tour destination is Capt Cook Monument in Kealakekua Bay. Great snorkeling, with views of coral gardens, tropical fish and sea turtles. Spinner dolphins are regularly seen as are humpback whales during whale season. Getting to the snorkel site should be as much fun as snorkeling; you will paddle to the area by sea kayak. Very popular with newly weds, beginners, or for discriminating paddlers wishing for personal attention and a quieter atmosphere. Trips are tailored to guest interests and abilities Trip is suitable for ages 7-70. Beginners are welcome, rated as easy to moderate.

| Description: After a brief orientation we launch kayaks for about a 15 minute paddle before we enter the water. Snorkel for about an hour watching the amazing underwater ballet of these 12 -18' wonders of the sea. The manta's do somersaults in the water beneath the snorkelers and provide a once in a lifetime experience! Mantas are not guaranteed and there are no refunds if manta's do not show up. Generally we see manta's about 85% of the time. Location is south Kona. Guests should call us for detailed directions from their location. About 10 minute drive from Kona, about 45 minute drive from Waikoloa Resorts. Includes snacks and beverages after the tour.
