Bob Twogood, owner of Twogood Kayaks, has been a pioneer in establishing the famous kayak tours from Kailua Bay to the Mokulua Islands. His background as a former national champion kayak racer provided a solid foundation around which to build his kayak company. Twogood Kayaks has been operational since 1982 and his trips out to the Mokulua Islands are his company’s specialty. These tours are spectacular and my last excursion with them was one of my best experiences ever on Oahu. | Description: Your adventure begins when you're picked up in a van for your trip to Kailua. You will make a quick stop by the store to sign waivers and take part in a safety briefing with weather assessment, paddling map, and orientation of the paddling area. Next, you'll be escorted to Kailua Beach Park by an experienced TWOGOOD staff member who will help unload your kayaks and give you a paddling lesson. From there you will depart on a self-guided tour of a beautiful reef protected bay to enjoy your day of adventure in calm turquoise waters filled with endangered sea turtles and sea birds. After lunch on one of three islands (bird sanctuaries), you can go for a gentle walk to secret cove, or if you feel adventurous, go kayak surfing! Then land your kayak on the tropical pristine white-sand beaches for swimming, hiking, snorkeling and sunning. Please keep in mind that ocean conditions vary with weather and season.

| Description: Twogood Kayaks will outfit you with super-stable sit-on-top Kayaks (or sleeker models if you prefer), deliver your kayaks to the beach, give you a quick 5 minute lesson to get you started, and an ocean orientation with safety instruction, a map of the beautiful Kailua Bay; all for a very moderate price. You can also rent snorkeling gear and boogie boards, dry bags and a backrest. Please keep in mind that ocean conditions vary with weather and season.
