Sea Life Park
Oahu has many attractions to visit but probably none as fun as Sea Life Park. Sea Life Park is located in the area known as Makapuu on the other side of the mountain range from Waikiki. It will take about forty minutes of so to arrive there in your car but pick-up can be arranged by Sea Life Park for you as well. There is simply so much to do at this wonderful Oahu attraction. In many ways it reminds me of the fabulous San Diego Zoo I used to work at as I was attending college. The animals are so well tended for and so available to the public and the enclosures are so well designed. Aside from just seeing and learning about the animals there are almost hourly shows designed to give you a bit more understanding of their underwater world. You'll be able to experience the Dolphin Cove Show, the Hawaiian Ocean Theater, the Hawaiian Reef Aquarium, the Sea Lion Show, the Penguin Habitat Trainer Talk, the Seabird Sanctuary and the Sea Turtle Feeding. Each event has its own highlights and special moments. The most exciting experiences for me however had to do with the dolphins. These creatures are meticulously cared for at this facility and provide some of the most remembered moments for island visitors. You can attend the Dolphin Encounter where you will be invited into the tanks that hold the dolphins. You'll be able to observe them with a snorkel and mask underwater and learn about their underwater world. Secondly you'll be able to take the Dolphin Swim Adventure in which you'll be able to touch these creatures and even (if you'd like) get a kiss from them. Lastly, you'll be able to take the Dolphin Royal Swim which gives you a chance to ride along with the dolphins as they pull you with their dorsal fins and also gives you an opportunity to be pushed out of the water as dolphins get firmly planted under your feet and catapult you across the pool like a rocket.…

Guests swim in the Stingray Lagoon and meet these curious animals face-to-face as they glide effortlessly through water. | Description: This program gives participants a unique opportunity to swim with a sea lion in a playful, educational and interactive atmosphere. After a short orientation with the trainer, guests will join in the fun with these entertaining and affectionate creatures. During the program, guests will be able to stroke a sea lion as they swim underwater followed with a performance and a kiss. Guests will also help the trainer by giving the sea lions signals to enable them to prove their intelligence and abilities. The sea lions have a great sense of humor and love to mimic people; guests should be prepared to laugh while participating in this program.
