Hike one mile through a tropical valley. Take a refreshing swim in a mountain stream. Listen to a detailed narrative on native flora and stream life. Hike to the top of 3 cascading waterfalls. Guides will serve tropical fruit and bottled water. Tour meets in Central Maui.*
Operates: Daily 9:00am to 12:00 noon or 1:00 to 4:00pm
Departure Point: Meet at the Commuter Parking Lot, Intersection of 380 and 350 / Puunene and Dairy Road.
Duration: 3 hours
Equipment: All necessary hiking equipment.
Capacity: 10 hikers per guide - Minimum of 4 hikers to confirm all hikes.

Description: 4.5 miles Moderate to Strenuous Rating. Maui's unique native plants, rainforest, birds and exceptional views of Wailuku and Waihee Valley are the special features of this hike. It is a great aerobic workout. Elevation gain of 1,400 feet in 2 1/4 miles! The lower portion of the trail consists of Cook Pine, Sydney Blue Gum, Brush Box and Queensland Maple. The number of native species increases with elevation as mesic forest is replaced by wet forest. Maui's endemic birds, the Apapane and Amakihi are often seen in the 'Ohi'a trees. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views from your picnic table at the 2,600-foot elevation approaching Puu Kukui Peak.*
