Waipio Ridge Stables
From the town of Kukuihaele at the entrance to the Waipio Valley you will meet your guides for your horseback ride at Waipio Ridge Stables. On the ridge, high above the Waipio Valley exists some of the most spectacular scenery on the Island of Hawaii. The sugar cane companies have long restricted access to this pristine area. Recently purchased by the Bishop Estate, the full impacts of these views are just now being discovered. These overlooks are only accessible on horseback, on foot, by 4-wheel drive, or by mountain bike. Even helicopters are not allowed to get that close to the rim above the valley floor. This is a horseback ride in paradise and Waipio Ridge Stables will take you there.
