Dolphin watching on the Kona coast of the Big Island is very popular and a great boat to view them from is from Blue Sea Cruises. Blue Sea Cruises will provide naturalists on board to enhance your experience through expert information regarding these fabulous and fun loving dolphins. Tours are two-hours and fifteen minutes long and are taken aboard the Spirit of Kona which a seventy-foot double deck power catamaran with two large glass bottom viewing ports which was designed for the waters surrounding Kona. The dolphins most frequently seen from these cruises are the Bottle Nose Dolphin and the Spinner Dolphin and whales are also visible in season (December through May). | Description: Afternoon Dolphin Adventure and Glass Bottom Cruise. View dolphins and whales topside then go into two large glass bottom wells to view dolphins, manta rays, turtles and a variety of tropical fish and other marine life underwater. Naturalist on board provides narration describing the local marine life and historic sites along the coast as you cruise from Kailua-Kona Pier to Keauhou Bay and back. Live local entertainment on the return trip.
